Petra si už počas strednej školy uvedomila, že ochrana životného prostredia sa stane jej celoživotnou cestou. Vyštudovala Prírodovedeckú fakultu na UK v Bratislave a je absolventkou environmentálneho programu medzinárodnej školy AINOVA. Je dušou neziskovej organizácie Živica, v rámci ktorej sa venuje aj projektu Mestské včely, ktorý sama založila. Je lektorkou rôznych eko workshopov, píše články a moderuje v rádiu eko tematickú reláciu.

Petra bola jedna z prvých tvárí kampane pre Zelenú elektrinu od ZSE.
